Now the reservation for the teaching faculty members! What an amazing idea! The politicians seem to be in a mood to implement quota in all spheres of life and in all possible ways. I guess, the only place left is the cricket team or other sports for that matter. (May be in near future some of the medals will be reserved in national games.) Can one guess how will the quota teachers teach in the elite institutions like
IITs or IIMs? I understand that our politicians inherently believe that the class (of an Institution) can be substituted by the caste. And this may be the structural necessity of their brand of politics. Soon we will have doctors, engineers coming out of quota system. Some kind of researches will be done by quota scientists that anyway will be useful for the quota students to acquire Ph.D. degrees and who eventually land up into same kind of research and teaching. Soon the bridges will be built by quota engineers, planning will be done by quota professionals, surgery will be done by quota doctors….of course the ministers’ convoys will not pass through those bridges for security reasons, they will not be operated by those quota doctors as they will go abroad for their health checkup.

On the other hand the people who enjoys quota will be enjoying that generation after generation without much effort or brainwork as their counterparts in general category have to face in increasing proportions. The ‘quality’ is the only thing that will be buried!
But anyway, who cares quality? The game of ballot box politics is such a compulsion!
